Using an Automatic Juicer to Make Fresh Juice at Home



If you love juice and have never used a juicer to make homemade fresh juice then you are in for a treat. There is nothing like making fresh juice straight from fruit you just bought or picked. It is also much healthier than drinking store bought juice and contains many of the healthy nutrients and vitamins your body needs. Here are some tips for making your own juice with a breville juicer or any other brand.

If you are going to make juice then it is recommended to make it only when you are ready to drink it.In this case it is not ideal to make a full pitcher of juice, but rather to make only as much as you want to drink. This is beneficial because you will get the maximum health benefits from drinking it right after you press it. You may not realize it but storing juice can cause you to lose a lot of the antioxidants.


Differences in Automatic Juicer Machines


If you are making fresh juice then it is most likely for quality taste and heath reasons. In this case keep in mind that the output of juice is going to be in direct relation with the fruits and vegetables you are using. This makes it ideal to use organic foods. If this is not possible then be sure to thoroughly wash your food before juicing. Make sure the ingredients that you are using a fresh themselves and at a good ripeness.

You don't want bruised or old fruit and likewise you don't want fruits that are not ripe as the juice they make will be bitter in taste. It is advisable to peel fruits that have thick skins when juicing such as grapefruits, lemons and oranges. The outside skin can cause fruit to be bitter and some people are allergic to it. Some fruits have a very hard pit or seed and this has to be removed before you put the food into the juicer.


Make Fresh Homemade Juice With a Juicer


Fruits or veggies with smaller seeds like grapes or apples should be okay. You also want to remove stems of some fruits and vegetable because they can be bitter or grainy tasting. Depending on what type of juicer you have, you will need to cut up your food into chinks. This will allow you to easily feed them into the juicer. Be sure while feeding food into a juicers feed chute to use the food pusher so your fingers don't become apart of the juice.

Lastly, there are an infinite amount of beverages you can create with a juicer but you do have to have the right amount of solids and liquids in your concoction. For example you can just make a banana smoothie with just bananas because they have very little water content. This means you need some other fruit with higher water content or some other liquid to make this mixture work.
